This year on June 12, we will celebrate our novena dedicated to Our Mother of Divine Grace. For the entire nine days of our novena, we will remember you and your intentions in the Masses at her Shrine. Your Votive Light will represent you before our Lady’s Altar. Ask our Lady to fill you with God’s graces during our novena in his mother’s honor.

“Grace” in Catholic theology is a word that means God’s love for us. God reveals this love in many ways, especially through Mary, the mother of Jesus. Our love for others is a manifestation of God’s love for us.

Because God has first loved us, we are able to share our love with others. We see a wonderful example of such sharing of love in this letter—

Father, I want to share a special story about how the power of prayer and the intercession of our Blessed Mother have touched our lives.

My grandson had to have an organ transplant.  His sister volunteered to be the donor.  Family and friends all prayed that their surgeries would go well and that they would both be all right.

The transplant procedure went wonderfully and my grandson is recovering nicely.  As soon as she came out of the anesthesia, my granddaughter immediately asked to see her brother to make sure he was okay.

She cried in happiness that the transplant went so well and that she was able to help her brother.  Our family has great faith in the Blessed Mother, and I feel our Lady answered our prayers for our grandchildren.
