  A Prayer for Vocations

Annunication imageAt the Annunciation, the angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she was to be the mother of the Son of God. Her response, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word,” is a glorious testimony to her faith in her God and her submission to his will

Mary’s “yes” to God was preceded by Jesus’ own obedient “yes” to his Father. He accepted God’s plan and became flesh through the power of the Holy Spirit at the Annunciation. His submission to his Father’s will led him to his agony and death at Calvary and glorious resurrection at Easter.

This year on March 25, the feast of the Annunciation, we will once again celebrate Mary’s “yes” to be the mother of our savior and Jesus’ “yes” to take on our human nature with a novena at our Lady’s Shrine. For the entire nine days of our novena we will remember you and your intentions in the Masses at Mary’s Shrine.

You, too, are saying “yes” when you support the work of our Lady’s Association.  Let your “yes” include your prayer petitions and a donation or Votive Light offering to help us carry out her work.

Your gift will promote devotion to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.  You will support Vincentian missionaries, seminarians, and our senior Vincentian priests and brothers.  And you will bring pastoral care to the poor.  Vincentians all around the world work with the lowly and most forgotten of God’s children.  They bring the good news—“Jesus loves you”—to countless people.

Ask our Lady to fill you with God’s grace on the feast of her AnnunciationSend your petition to her Shrine today and it will be there in time for remembrance on the feast.

Sincerely yours,
