All Souls Day Remembrance Title

“After this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb…”

Hail Holy Queen Prayer

We pray these words when we recite the Hail Holy Queen at the conclusion of our rosary. In this prayer, we beseech our Blessed Mother to lead us to her Son, our redeemer, after our time here on earth. God sent us his only Son to show us our path to heaven. When we pray for our friends and family members who have died, especially on All Souls Day, we help them on their path to life everlasting.

On November 2, we remember our beloved dead in prayer and we express our belief in the promises of our Baptism.  We pray confidently for those who have gone before us—as they will pray for us after they finish their journey to our Lord’s side in heaven.

On All Souls Day, we will have a beautiful Mass, and the names of all those whom we commemorate will be by the altar.  Send me the names of your deceased loved ones so we can remember them in our prayers that day..

Our prayer doesn’t stop on November 2.  The names of those we remember that day will remain at the Shrine for remembrance all month.  They will stay near our Lady’s altar for a full year so we can remember them in our prayers and Mass on the anniversary of their death.

There is more…It is almost as if you could remain at our Lady’s Shrine yourself all November. Of course, it is impossible to do that in person. A Votive Light burning by Mary’s Altar will become a witness to your desire to be here. It is a beautiful tradition to burn Votive Lights at our Lady’s Altar, especially during the month of November.

Your offering will promote devotion to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. It will also encourage prayer for the faithful departed. You will help support members of the Vincentian community in their work with the poor, the oppressed, and the clergy who serve them.

Sincerely yours in our Lady,
Fr. James Ward
