Fr. John MusoloFather John recently wrote to me about his first few months as a priest-

“My parish, Saint Vincent de Paul, is located in a very poor area. It is mostly a dry region with very little rain. People roam all over in search of water. We have a well at the parish, and provide many families in our neighborhood with precious water.

“Life as a priest is very interesting. Expectations of priests are very high in this part of the world. People expect us to know almost everything and to be good at everything as well.

St. Vincent de Paul Nursey “At my parish, I am in charge of the youth, young mothers, the environment, the Catholic Women’s Association, and the liturgy.

“It is enriching, yet humbling to work with people at their level of spirituality and faith. I hope and pray that God will continue to bring more and more people into my life to enable me to see the face of his Son in them. And I continue to pray for God’s grace to minister to his people.

“I also hope that men and women of good will all over the world will continue to help my fellow Vincentians and me as co-workers. As we all know, some give to the missions by going to them, while others go to the missions by giving. And may God continue to bless the members of our Lady’s Association who support us in our work as Vincentians.”
