Be that special person who cares enough to help strangers in distress. You may not know these people, but here are a few who were helped by members of our Lady’s Association last year—
- a troubled teen attending an alternative high school who has found hope and a new direction in his life,
- a single mother of three young children whose husband abandoned them after he learned that he and his family were all HIV positive,
- poor families who received much needed repairs to their homes,
- and many, many other poor and abandoned people around the world.

I’d like to share a short letter with you from a friend who wrote to me in thanksgiving to our Lady and for the prayers offered for her intentions here at our Lady’s Shrine. She writes—
I am very grateful to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal for helping my brother, Anthony, return to his faith and sacraments.
Our sister has a kindly priest who visits her every first Friday. Anthony met him at her home and had two more meetings with him. At the last meeting, Anthony received Holy Communion. We were all overjoyed that our prayers were answered.
We will be forever grateful to our Lady and for all the prayers offered for him at our Lady's Shrine.

We pray daily at our Lady’s Shrine for all of our members as well as those who bring their own petitions before Mary’s Altar in confident prayer. As members of her Association, we work and pray together for the benefit of each other and for those most abandoned of Mary’s children.
