Love and loyalty have been the mission of the
Association
of the Miraculous Medal for 85 years
Thanks to the generous contributions, we have completed two building projects here on the campus of Saint Mary’s of the Barrens—the Apostle of Charity residence for our senior Vincentian priests and brothers, and our new Heritage and Visitor Center for pilgrims to our Lady’s Shrine.
Two new Vincentian priests were ordained in Kenya this past May. Your generosity and your prayers made their training and ordination possible. They gratefully remember you in their prayers and Masses. They join the four men who were ordained the previous year in increasing the ranks of the Congregation of the Mission in that country.
And contributions continue to support our Vincentian seminarians here in the United States and abroad in their studies for the priesthood. The Vincentian Marian Youth here in the United States are most grateful for your generous support and your prayers too. It is stirring to see such a group of young people so excited about their Catholic faith.
They are living their faith through monthly liturgical celebrations at the Shrine Church and service projects that help the poor and abandoned. This past summer a group of these young people and their adult sponsors spent a week helping the parishioners of Saint Stephen's Parish in New Orleans as they continue to recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina.
The work of these young people during their week in New Orleans echoes the spirit of service lived by Saint Vincent and Saint Catherine Labouré.
