Just as charity and love begin at home,
so do prayer and faith.
Parents are the first ones to teach their children how to pray as part of the family. Often this begins with grace before meals or night prayers with the little ones before their bed times. And as their children grow, parents teach them the faith and love behind these words of prayer.
In his July 2006 address to the Fifth World Meeting on Families, Pope Benedict XVI highlighted the importance of parents as teachers of prayer and the faith that accompanies it-
"This Fifth World Meeting invites us to reflect on a theme of particular importance, one fraught with great responsibility: the transmission of faith in the family.
The language of faith is learned in homes where this faith grows and is strengthened through prayer and Christian practice.

Faith, charity, love, and prayer are all links that make for a strong family. If any of these links are weakened or broken, the whole family suffers.
Pray for your family. Pray with your family. Pray for the families of those you know and love. You imitate Mary when you show your love for others.

As a token of your love and care for a family that needs prayer, you can send them one of two
Family Remembrance Certificates from the Association.
The heart of the certificate is the message that a family will share in the prayers at our Lady's Shrine. It offers prayers for a family. And it presents the hope-filled story of the Miraculous Medal.
** If you want to add an extra sign of your prayer, you may wish to burn a Votive Light for that family.

May Mary watch over you and your family with the same love and care she devoted to the Holy Family May she intercede with Jesus to hear your prayers and bring the graces and gifts you need for your families.
Now is the time to bring our Lady of the Miraculous Medal to families who need her love. Turn to her in prayer.
