Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

January 1, 2018

The first letter is from New Jersey.

Dear Father,

After my daughter died in 2011, I was devastated and in a state of shock. I cried all the time. I stayed in my room and didn’t want to live. I started to pray the rosary. I knew our Blessed Mother felt my pain. I prayed and kept asking my daughter to send me a sign that she was at peace. Two years later, I was sitting in my kitchen when I suddenly had an overwhelming feeling that someone was with me. When I turned around I saw an apparition of my precious daughter with a beautiful smile on her face. I thought I was going crazy, but I know in my heart what I saw was real. How is it that I deserved this miracle? From that day on, my healing process started. I know our Blessed Mother Mary intervened and my daughter is with our Lord.

The second letter is from California.

Dear Father,

I volunteered at a hospital in San Francisco a few years ago. I made friends with a patient who was terminally ill. One day he gave me a first class relic of St. Catherine Labouré. I was overwhelmed at the honor. He told me that the person who gave it to him said, "You will know when it is time to pass it on to someone else." I guess I will too. My friend died shortly thereafter. I've been through many trials and the relic is always with me. Our Blessed Mother's presence is unmistakably with me always.
