Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

November 27, 2017

The first letter is from Indiana.

Dear Father,

In August 2016, I lost my job. In the many months that followed, I prayed the prayer to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal for employment. In May of this year, I was offered a job that I hadn’t applied for. In fact, I didn't know anything about it. The job was in another state with a solid, reputable employer. My salary is generous and the employer has offered other incentives. And so, on July 31, almost one year after losing my job, I was employed again! I am grateful to our holy Mother for interceding with her Son on behalf of me and my family. ”

The second letter is from California.

Dear Father,

My mother was a convert to Catholicism and she had a great devotion to our Blessed Mother. My earliest memory was my mom pinning a blue, plastic Miraculous Medal attached to a ribbon to my undershirt. Over time both the medal and ribbon became worn and used looking. Later, I tried wearing the brown scapular but didn't like changing it when it became worn and smelly. One day I was praying in a chapel and met an order of nuns who were wearing rather large Miraculous Medals. From then on I have worn the same large medal. Over the years, I have felt the need to promote this devotion to our heavenly Mother and I owe it to my mom's love and her faith in Mary.
