Association of the Miraculous Medal

As testimonies to the generosity of God's love in answer to prayers offered through our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, the Association receives thousands of letters. In that spirit of gratitude to God, the Association publishes edited sections of some letters.

May 8, 2017

The first letter is from Massachusetts.

Dear Father,

I never grew up Catholic. On the contrary, growing up I think we tried every religion that exists, even those that appeared on TV under investigations. It's when I met my mother-in-law, that this changed. Going through catechism classes, I learned so much. So many myths were given true meanings and I found myself drawn to the history, fellowship, and friendship in our parish. My mother-in-law gave me my first Miraculous Medal. I could write 10 pages explaining the unexplained each time I prayed, holding my medal and the miracles that would happen. Today I buy them to keep on hand, not only for myself, but to give to others. I give them to the down-hearted, the sick, and to those who feel hopeless. My prayer is that they, too, will experience what I've experienced, and will know the true glory of God's love and that he hears us.

The second letter is from Indiana.

Dear Father,

I was raised in a good Catholic home by devout Catholic parents. However, during my teen years and 20s, I turned away. I never left the Church, but I had no interest. Over the years I came a little closer, but it was not until my mother told me something on their 50th wedding anniversary. She told me she had presented me and consecrated me to our Blessed Mother. I can seriously say my life changed after hearing this. I am totally reliant upon prayer and the generosity and mercy of our Lord and his Mother.
