Association of the Miraculous Medal

“Practice makes perfect!”  We’ve all heard it.  From coaches, teachers, parents, and many others who understand that preparation is essential to success.

For the Christian, perfection is nothing short of eternal life in heaven with Jesus, Mary, and all the angels and saints. This is the victory that we most deeply desire for ourselves and for our loved ones.

As you journey toward perfection in Christ, I want to offer you two acts of preparation.

The first is a matter of getting your soul ready to meet Jesus. If it has been more than a year since your last confession, take time soon to receive God’s loving mercy in the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Similarly, if you or a loved one are struggling with a chronic illness, preparing for a major surgery, or are in danger of death, request from your priest the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.

God’s grace will give you peace and strength, helping you to trust that “the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed” (Romans 8:18).

The second act of preparation is a matter of getting your earthly gifts ready.  If you have not yet prepared a legal will, it is extremely important that you do so.

As you read this brochure, I ask that you prayerfully consider naming the Association of the Miraculous Medal as a beneficiary in your will, retirement investments, life insurance, and living trusts.  In doing so, you can help increase devotion to Mary for many years to come.

Making a planned gift is not difficult.  Learn more about how to share your gifts.

To make this multi-generational gift to our Lady’s Association, please call our office at 1-800-264-6279 and ask for Linda or Mary Gail or email us at charitablegiving@amm.org and we will follow up with you promptly.

Your gift is an expression of your values, priorities, and gratitude for God’s blessings in your life.  By giving, you are honoring God, his Blessed Mother, and his divine Son.

I don’t say it often enough, but “Thank you!”  On behalf of all of us here at the Shrine, I am grateful for the difference you are making in the lives of thousands of people seeking a closer relationship with Mary and her Son, Jesus.

May our Lady of the Miraculous Medal obtain God’s graces for you and your loved ones.  You continue to be in my prayers.

Sincerely yours in Jesus and Mary,

P.S.  I hope you enjoy the beautiful artwork of Michelangelo’s “The Touch.”  May it remind you that your gifts touch the hearts of those in most need of God’s love.
