On May 14, Fr. Kevin McCracken, C.M., Don Fulford (AMM's CEO), and a group of pilgrims began the Association's pilgrimage to France and Switzerland in celebration of the Association's 100th anniversary and the Vincentian charism's 400th anniversary. Enjoy the photos we are receiving as the pilgrims embark on this wonderful journey!

May Processions were held on Sunday, May 6, in Perryville, Missouri, and in Montebello, California.

Each year on the first Sunday in May, the long-time tradition of the May Procession takes place on the Shrine grounds in Perryville, Missouri. Close to 1,000 adults and children attended this year (May 6, 2018) to honor our Blessed Mother in prayer and with hymns and for the blessing of the new Rosary Walk. A May Procession was also held in Montebello, California. The community was very happy and spent time in harmony, sharing their faith. A number of different priests participated in the Eucharist, as well as a deacon and altar servers. It was a lively multicultural celebration, after which we had the Procession accompanied by a choir in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

This is a very special year for the Association of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, Missouri. On May 18, we will celebrate our 100th anniversary of promoting devotion to our Blessed Mother and spreading the word about the Miraculous Medal, a gift she gave to us through Saint Catherine Labouré. The Association was established by the Western Province of the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentians) in the United States. Saint Mary’s of the Barrens in Perryville, Missouri, was founded in 1818 by the Vincentian priests so it was only natural that Saint Mary’s should become a center of devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. We ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers as we celebrate this milestone. Limited quantities of commemorative gifts designed for this occasion are available upon request for suggested contributions.

Thank you to the hundreds of generous families who have made this restoration possible.

Thank you for your continued understanding as we work around the schedule of our contractors, electricians, painters, and finishers.

As you can see from the pictures, it is really needed. If you haven't had a chance yet and still want to be a part of this once every hundred year restoration, there are still some beads and benches along the Rosary Walk that are available for naming.

If you have questions or you are interested in supporting the restoration campaign, please call
1-800-264-6279 and ask to speak with Sherry Clark, Krista Koishor, or Pat Vetter.

Prayers for Victims of Tragedy

In the wake of the Texas school shooting, we at the Association are praying for the 10 victims, those who were injured, those who survived, the families of all, and the community. May our Blessed Mother keep each person devastated by this tragedy in her loving care.
