Here's What's New

Remembering our beloved dead

Prayer for our departed loved ones is rooted in the Bible and is powerful because it brings peace to those on both sides of death. The Second Book of Maccabees (12:45-45) shows that Jews in the two centuries before Christ believed in praying for the deceased. Our belief in purgatory flows from this practice. Read more about praying for those in purgatory and heaven. Send me the names of your deceased relatives and friends along with the dates on which they passed away for remembrance in Mass on All Souls Day, November 2, throughout the month of November, and on their anniversary date in the coming year.

Create a legacy with our Lady's Association

When you remember the Association of the Miraculous Medal, you are creating a lasting legacy – one that contributes to the critical missionary work of bringing souls to Christ through our Blessed Mother. Making a planned gift is not difficult. Request either one of these brochures to help you with the process. Read more about planned gifts and how you can create a lasting legacy.

Pilgrimage to Greece and Turkey -- There's still time to send your petitions

Father Charles Shelby, C.M. and 26 other pilgrims will be leaving October 28 for the Association’s pilgrimage to Greece and Turkey.  There is still time for you to join us in spiritSend your intentions now. Father Shelby will carry your name throughout the pilgrimage, and your intentions will be kept at the Shrine for remembrance in the Masses and prayers offered there.  You will be with the group in spirit everywhere they go, and you will be remembered in their prayers and Mass each day of the journey, October 28 – November 7.  Souvenir gifts of the pilgrimage are also available for you to order.  Follow the pilgrimage itinerary and recite the prayer to our Lady of the Miraculous Medal each day of the pilgrimage.  You can also follow the pilgrim journey through the Association on Facebook or Twitter

Offer someone you love prayer and comfort

Reaching out to loved ones who have lost a family member or close friend is a natural reaction. If you would like to bring Mary’s motherly concern and the love of Jesus to the bereaved in a special way, request a Memorial Remembrance Certificate from our Lady’s Association. Use the card to offer prayer and comfort for someone suffering the loss of a loved one. Mary’s presence on the certificate will inspire others to realize that she stands by them in their sorrow just as she stood by Jesus as he died on the cross for us. Read more about the love and comfort Jesus and his Blessed Mother have for us.

Your intentions remembered in Rome November 4 – 9

On November 4 – 9 leaders of our faith will gather in Rome for a time of prayer and thanksgiving.  They will come together at the first General Assembly of the International Association of the Miraculous Medal – and they want to pray for you!  Several staff members from our Lady’s Association in Perryville will be attending the General Assembly and will carry your name with them for remembrance.  To submit your intentions to be remembered throughout the Assembly, including during the Papal Audience and the Angelus in Saint Peter’s Square, click here.  When prayers come together as one, they hold immense power.

Fall Bulletin Newsletter

The focus of the Fall Bulletin is “Prayer—How Do We Pray.” The word “ACTS” can help each of us remember the four essential ways of relating to God—adoration, contrition, thanksgiving, and supplication. In this issue of the Bulletin you will also find a four page brochure offering various religious gifts you can purchase through our Lady’s Association. Read the Fall Bulletin issue to learn more about “ACTS,” the 2015 Spring Pilgrimage to Italy, how the Association’s staff prays for you, and how to participate in the Rosary Novena held October 7-15 at the Shrine.

Send in your Rosary Novena intentions and burn a Votive Light to be remembered during the Rosary Novena.
