Thank you to the hundreds of generous families who have made this restoration possible.  As you can see from the pictures, it is really needed.  If you haven't had a chance yet and still want to be a part of this once every hundred year restoration, there are still some beads and benches along the Rosary Walk that are available for naming. Call 1-800-264-6279 to find out how you can help.

Thank you too for your understanding while the Church, Grounds and Grotto are closed. Mass will resume Thursday, August 20.

Please call
1-800-264-6279 and check on tours of the church before you come. Our grounds and grotto will be closed until May 2018.

Summer break is almost over. Students and educators throughout the country will soon be returning to school. “My child, the good God wishes to charge you with a mission.”  On July 18, 1830, our Lady of the Miraculous Medal spoke these words to Sister Catherine Labouré, a novice of the Daughters of Charity in Paris, France. As we celebrate the 187th anniversary of Mary’s apparition to Saint Catherine, let us remember we, too, are Mary’s chi ... Keep Reading
Beginning Monday, August 7, at 8:00 a.m., CDT, we will honor our Blessed Mother here at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal with a very special Assumption Novena of Masses.  On each of these nine days we will celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in devotion to Mary, asking her to obtain for us God’s infinite graces.  Please send ... In the summer issue of the Miraculous Medal Bulletin, Fr. Kevin talks about Christ inviting us to “welcome” the stranger like Saint Vincent de Paul did. The image of the modern stranger may be different from Saint Vincent’s time, but the stranger’s condition has not changed. Don’s article compares the ‘weeds of life’ to the we ... Keep Reading

Like the Miraculous Medal, blessed oil is a sign of our faith and a reminder of God’s immense love. Its healing properties are found in the spiritual conversion of growing closer to our Lord – in prayer, in reading of sacred Scripture, and in reception of the Church’s sacraments, especially Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation. For an offering of $17 or more, we will send you a hand-packaged, 1/2 ounce bottle of Blessed Mother Oil which has been blessed and touched to a relic of Saint Catherine Labouré here at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Send your intentions and say this prayer to our Lady for healing when using this oil on yourself, your children, grandchildren, and anyone else in need of Mary’s motherly care and God’s healing love.
