Here at the Association of the Miraculous Medal we are praying for all those affected by the tornados that took lives and destroyed homes in Oklahoma and the surrounding area. May our Blessed Mother keep the people of these cities in her loving care in the weeks and months ahead. Join us in praying for all those devastated by this recent disaster.

Healing Remembrance Mass

On Friday, May 24, a Mass of Healing Remembrance will be offered at the Shrine of our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Send me your petitions and the names of those you know who are in need of healing, including your own. Your intentions will be placed at the Shrine for remembrance in this Mass. Our Lady, under her title of Health of the Sick, will shower healing graces on you and your loved ones.

“Repeat and Recall” is the theme for the May/June issue of the Miraculous Medal Bulletin Newsletter. When we repeat prayers, we are reflecting on and recalling the meaning of our Catholic faith. As a symbol of your prayers for Pope Francis, members of the Association are invited to burn Votive Lights for him at our Lady’s Shrine and to pledge saying one or more rosaries for him. Visit the Shrine

The National Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal has been designated by the Archdiocese of Saint Louis as an official site where pilgrims may receive a Plenary Indulgence during the “Year of Faith” if they meet all the norms. If you are making travel plans for the summer, please consider a stop in Perryville to visit the Shrine Church and grounds. Located off a major interstate, we are easy to find if you want to take a quick break from an otherwise long drive. May 5, 2013 -- May Procession & May Crowning

Due to rain, the annual May Procession was held at our local parish church. Attendance was very good, and people came from as far away as Texas. This event was a beautiful celebration honoring our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, and an opportunity to meet friends and pray with them. The service included traditional Marian hymns, the rosary, the placing of your petitions before our Lady, the May crowning, and a tribute to Mary by Father Luke.

It's not to late to send your petition to be remembered at our Lady's Shrine during the month of May.
